Peace, Love and Cartwheels

Two Maple Grove soccer teams were greeted by a pair of groovy flower children, seemingly of an earlier era. The two free-birds -- a far-out cat and a righteous babe -- were enrobed in custom psychedelic tie-dyed ponchos adorned with genuine love beads.

Not only did their outfits gleam a ray of sunshine, but their infectious karma quickly engergized the crowd. Their collective flower power illuminated their presence and the energy level quickly escalated as the crowd broke out into song and dance upon their arrival.

As usual, the far-out cat's technical components were uncompromised:

The righteous babe outdid herself as well. She performed a whopping 3 cartwheels followed by her signature flashy ending. As you will see by the pictures, she also gracefully recovered from a near wardrobe malfunction.

I interviewed the righteous babe before the performance and she credited her head-piece styling to the far-out cat, as he gave her a tutorial on how to wear a rag on her head. She was thinking "Jackie O" bonnet instead of do-rag.

In addition, a parent from the opposing team caught up with me to discuss the possibility of hiring out the performers for his daughter's remaining games. Unfortunately, the duo is fully booked, but are considering expanding their schedule if the popular demand continues at its current strength.

The performance was really boss. Unfortunately, the flower children beat feet and left the scene as quickly as they arrived.

All in all, a twitchen good fun was had by all, leaving everything copasetic.
